Australian Citizenship Test
In Oct 2007, the Australian government had announced that all new immigrants arrived in Australia and applying for Australian citizenship are required to undergo a multiple choice test about the Australian way of life and culture and the responsibilities and privileges as an Australian citizen. The test is closed book and it is done in English.
Statistics show that after several months of implementing the test, more than 20% of the people tested fail the test first time! That is, 1 in 5 people will not pass the first time.
The Australian citizenship test was revised from Oct 19, 2009. People sitting for the exam will now have to answered 15 out of 20 questions correctly to pass the test.
The new format had separated into testable and non-testable sections. Where testable sections are focus on:
- The Australia and its people
- the democratic beliefs, rights and liberties
- The Australian governments and laws
Our beliefs is that even though a reduction in the studying of testable materials, because the pass marked have increase from 60% to 75%. There will still be a high percentage of people will not pass the first time. Hence we have provided this free website with plenty of resources and sample test to assist those who are in needs.
